Our recruitment policy

NTUU KPI is committed to a policy of equal opportunity. University promotes good relations between people of different racial groups, between women and men and between disabled and non-disabled people, as well as an inclusive culture, good practice in teaching, learning, and assessment, and good management practice, through the development of codes of best practice, policies, and training.

University has due regard to the need to eliminate discrimination on grounds of race, sex, disability, and all other grounds set out in the statement on equal opportunities, and examines whether its policies help to achieve equality of opportunity for all these groups, or whether they have an adverse impact.

University administration monitors the recruitment and progress of all students and staff, paying particular attention to the recruitment and progress of ethnic minority students and staff, women, and disabled students and staff.

Entry into employment with the University and progression within employment is determined only by personal merit and by the application of criteria related to the duties and conditions of each particular post, and the needs of the institution concerned. We welcome applications from all applicants. We guarantee an interview to disabled candidates who meet the essential criteria.

Academic staff

Appointment to the academic offices of Professor, Senior Lecturer, or Assistant is by direct recruitment to a vacancy by Boards of Electors for Professorships, and by Appointments Committee. Appointments to University Lectureships are made by Appointments Committees. Temporary appointments may be made by heads of institutions to provide cover during staff absences. This will be reflected in the role title and grade.

Various other academic offices are established in certain Faculties and Departments to meet specific academic needs.

Academic-related staff

A wide range of administrative, computing, technical, library, and other specialist roles exist in the University. Positions are advertised as they arise, and applicants are selected on the basis of their ability to meet the requirements of the role.

Research staff

Appointment of research stuff is usually for a specified period to correspond with the requirements of the research project. The title of Research Assistant, or Associate or Senior Associate will depend on the nature and grade of the role, and an approval by the Faculty Board.

Vacancies for administrative and support staff and contract research positions are included in the Human Resources Department's Vacancies list, and are published in a weekly newspaper "Kyivskiy Polytechnic" http://kpi.ua/board-job.

Each job vacancy published will give details of where and how to apply. Please read the job vacancy carefully to establish the recruitment process. Any enquiries about the job vacancy should be addressed to the department recruiting for that position.
