BACHELOR DEGREE

University Institutes and Colleges are committed to admitting the most able students irrespective of background. Your ability to think critically and independently, your willingness to argue logically and to keep an open mind to new ideas, self-discipline, motivation and commitment, all play a part during your study.

The Bachelor Degree is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for completed academic courses of profound general education, fundamental knowledge and professional skills to fulfill typical professional tasks in the certain branch of economy, science, and engineering. Bachelor Degree requires prior High School course completion (High School Diploma/Certificate).

The credit based modular learning system has been implemented at NTUU KPI. Credit is a conditional unit to measure the study intensity of the certain part of university curriculum. The credit score contains 35 academic hours of student’s study. Each academic week corresponds to 54 hours of student’s study, or to 1.5 credits. The term of the first three studying years will last 18 weeks in autumn and 19 weeks in spring. Therefore, 1, 3 and 5 terms have 30 credits, 2, 4 and 6 terms have 31,5 credits.

The term of full-time bachelor study is 3 years and 10 months; part-time study lasts 4 years and 5 months. Each study year consists of two semesters, autumn and spring semesters. The bachelor program has 247 credits.

All international students are offered one academic year course of intensive study of Ukrainian or Russian Language , which will be the main language of teaching, as well as a possibility to improve their knowledge of main subjects according to the future Degree, e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, etc., at the Preparatory School of NTUU KPI.
